Welcome to our VClean news hub for all company related news and press coverage as we take the UK clothes cleaning industry by storm!
VDrops, the UK’s first entirely 100% green-cleaning vending machines for clothes have hit the UK, with the first one installed at Epping station that will go live this Saturday 6th October, with more being rolled out on London Underground for commuters. The machines, powered by VClean Life, aim to clean up the UK’s dry cleaning sector by bringing it into the 21st century.
Dry cleaning vending machines that promise a 24-hour, eco-friendly service have been launched in London Underground stations, disrupting an industry that has until now been relatively unaffected by the digital revolution.
The first of 200 eco-friendly laundry cleaning vending machines has been installed on the London Underground. Offering a cheap and easily accessible alternative to dry cleaning, VDrops machines charge just £2.50 for a shirt or £3 for other garments and take 24 hours to clean your dirty laundry and make them available for pick up again.
Tired of taking time out of your day to go and sort out your dry cleaning? Well tire no more — new eco laundry vending machines on the tube are here to save the day. That sounds a little bizarre, but that's the concept behind VDrop. You get to the tube station and drop your dirty clothes into the vending machine — at a price of £3 per garment. Then you get it back 24 hours later, all clean and fresh.
Rejoice — for gone are the days of schlepping your dry cleaning across London. From today, you can drop off garments in need of washing at a local Tube station and pick it up the next day, all thanks to VClean Life.
If you're a London commuter, the Tube already gets you from home to work, and wherever else. Now it could wash your clothes for you — sort of. That's the promise of VDrop, a fleet of smartphone-controlled vending machines that laundry startup VClean Life is installing at London Underground stations. Shove your dirty clothes into a supplied biodegradable bag with a barcode, and for £3 an item the company will pick them up, wash them at its facility in Watford, and return them for pickup within 24 hours
For many Londoners, the commute into work is one of the most stressful parts of the day – perhaps behind doing the laundry. Now both are being made stress-free with new eco-laundry vending machines that are being rolled out across various Tube stations.
We are proud to be working with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, London, who are our first London based corporate site to go live with our VDrop dry cleaning vending machine. Says Bridget Jackson, Corporate Sustainability Director - "We're delighted to install a VClean machine in PwC's office at 7 More London. It's a great example of how companies can encourage employees to live more sustainably, at the same time as offering convenient and affordable services that make their working lives easier."
